Summary

The main aim is to cooperate intensively to deliver a strategy for Integrated Water Resource Management (IWRM), which will be demonstrated across the Atlantic Area, in targeted river basins, networked by regional/river observatories in each Member State.

 Summary

The project intends to facilitate the formation to the seafarers’ private sectors or public organisations and to develop and consolidate a transnational network of maritime economy.  The project results will be composed of a long-term network with exchanges of good practices, know-how and staff, common and new training sessions development and the current policies improvements.

 Summary

MeshAtlantic wants to promote harmonised production and use of marine habitat maps covering the Atlantic Area. To reach this goal, intends to adapt and enhance previous achievements to the area, hence bringing the region onto equal footing with northern Europe.

Summary

The project aims to: 1) share experience on how to draw up management plans for activities which take place in existing marine protected areas (MPAs) and thus fulfill the nature conservation objectives that justified their designation; 2) define and implement joint methodology to identify the marine areas, both inshore and offshore, whose habitats and/or species justify special protection or management.

PORTONOVO intends to standardize a methodology for the water quality management in port areas all over along the Atlantic Area by developping great quality searching results to strengthen the present situation in accordance with the European legal framework about water quality in harbours.
