Preparation of the next Programme 2014-2020

Porto welcomed the fifth meeting of the Working Group for the preparation of the next Programme 2014-2020. This meeting was attended by WG members and the consultants working on the preparation of the next Programme and ex ante evaluation. Ecorys presented the strategic analysis and diagnosis of the Atlantic Area, a preliminary SWOT analysis and a first approach to the definition of the OP strategy, based on the TO's proposed by Member States.


Closure of the fourth call for projects

The second phase of the fourth call for projects closed on September 27. 15 applications were submitted out of 16 selected by the Monitoring Committee in the first phase. These 15 applications cover the 5 Member States and all the priorities of the Programme, with a total ERDF requested of M€ 13, while an indicative ERDF amount of M€ 6 is available.

On November 26, the Programme Monitoring Committee will take a decision on projects approvals following the admissibility check and the assessment of projects based on the selection reports produced by Joint Technical Secretariat. Decisions on project applications are expected to be communicated by December 2013.

Celebration of the European Cooperation Day

To celebrate more than 20 years of territorial cooperation in Europe, the North Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR-N) promoted last September 20 an Open Day session to present the Atlantic Area Transnational Programme, as well as some of the cofinanced projects. This event was well attended and allowed to disseminate the contribution of this cooperation programme to promote cohesion among the community area and citizenship.
The European Cooperation Day was celebrated in 32 countries with 165 events. Read more »
